Uganda Entry Requirements for Solomon Islands Citizens
Visa exemption means you do not need an ordinary Uganda visa solely because of your nationality, but normal entry and immigration rules still apply.
- A valid passport or qualifying travel document.
- Travel for a lawful purpose and comply with Uganda immigration formalities.
- Carry supporting travel information relevant to the purpose of your visit.
- If you intend to work, study long-term or reside in Uganda, obtain the appropriate immigration permission.
Solomon Islands nationals are currently on Uganda Immigration's visa-exempt list. A different permit or immigration facility may still be required for work, residence or other regulated activities.
What to Do Before Travelling
Immigration officers may request additional information. Rules and documentary requirements can change, so always confirm the current position before travel.
Travelling to Uganda from Solomon Islands
Uganda's tourist visa is intended for visits such as tourism, family visits and medical treatment. Visa-required travellers should obtain the applicable online approval before departure. Visa-exempt travellers should still travel with valid documents and comply with the conditions of entry.
For travellers planning to visit Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda for tourism, the East African Tourist Visa is a separate option. The issuing country should be the traveller's first entry point.
